Easy Putos!

No, not the Spanish term of a female dog. Puto is a popular steamed rice cake in the Philippines. I believe you can only get this @ any Asian super market. It should take about half an hour to prepare and steam. The proper way it should turn out is when the top is cracked (sort of like a flower). Most of the time it is not going to crack open if you use a Puto molder! If you steam it in a  4-5/8" in diameter and 2" high bowl, it is much more delicious than when using molders. Steaming it in small bowls, the putos (LOL) will turn out bigger but just as sweet! Here's how my first attempt at Putos turned out, perfect! & sorry about the dating on the photos, it's totally inappropriate, I do not even know how it got there, haha. :)

DIY Project

Just worked on a new DIY project, it's a simple little black dress & I am going to plant some beautiful diamonds on it! That's a Audrey Hepburn classic but with an "upgrade"! More updates of my old ones will be up soon. Sorry for the wait guys, I'm just excited to finally show you all what I can do!
;)

So someone asked me about the awesome fonts I use on my blog & the great thing about is I did not have to actually download whatsoever. Although it would be quite useful but the program does not allow me to, bummer...
But here's the LINK if you're looking for free fonts & the font name I've been using is Susie's Hand. To save you the trouble, here's the DIRECT LINK .

"What's For Lunch Today?!"

Obviously waking up at 4 in the afternoon, I missed lunch! But if "lunch" is what you want to call it, go for it! So this is what I had prepared for today! :)

Preparation:
Lemon/lime, cilantro, green onion, Vietnamese ham (optional),
bean sprouts, smashed up pepper!
If you love eggs like I do, have 2 of them boiled, the more the merrier ;)

Put all of the preparations together with your Miso Ramen,
be very cautious though! It'll be very hot ;)

A spicy, sweet & sour Cambodian dish!

Another one of my favorite foreign dish would be the Cambodian's Little Circle Fried Shrimp Cake. Haha alright just so you all know, it's not really a CAKE with SHRIMPS! For all my Vietnamese people out there, you would know this as the Bot Banh Khot, yes the name sounds terrible right?! Anyways I will have the recipe under sources so look for that & it's pretty easy to make if you know where to find the RIGHT FLOUR. If you want to make this recipe but can not find a store to get the product, hit me up! Here's a sweet preview of what my Tuesday night dinner looks like.
Bon appetit!

Recipe:
nuoc mam (fish sauce) or sweet chili Thai sauce
rau thom (herbs) & rau ram (Viet mints)
Bot Banh Khot (fried shrimp cake flour) (necessary)
cut up cucumbers *optional*
Shrimps (necessary) 1 lb. for 6 servings

Preparation: Take 4 cups of cold water mix well with 1 cup of fresh milk and one pack of the FSC flour.
Filling preparation: Chop 1 pack of green onion, granulate 1 lb. fresh shrimp (or depending on servings) cup in 3 pieces each, wash well and dry it. Put oil in the pan, then fry together the garlic, mixed flour, shrimps, green onion and mix well.

Method: Put the cake mold on the fire (small), then put a little bit oil on it, add the filling materials, cover it, put some oil around the cake until the cake shows in a golden color, it becomes a nice cake! Serve with the herbs and mints, cucumber, and dip it in fish sauce or sweet chili Thai sauce!

Bun Bo Hue ( Viet-Hue Style Beef/Pig Noodle Soup )

If you're Viet or a fan of Vietnamese cuisines/food, the next best thing to pho bo/ga is bun
rieu or bun bo hue! Obviously both are pretty similar except bun rieu takes longer to prepare and doesn't fit to taste of most foreign people, haha. If you never had this before or do not know how to make it, don't fret! You can always go to your nearest Vietnamese restaurant if you are lazy like me, or give this recipe to your momma and have a nice Vietnamese-style home cooked meal. For now I will have up a link for the recipe until I can write you the actual recipe of my own! Here is my typical Sunday night dinner. ;)
Disclaimer: As disgusting and non-vegetarian as this looks to some of you foreign folks, it's actually really delicious!
